Tempting fate…

November 7, 2008
Okay. So Edges is open. We’ve got a few weeks’ worth of shows under our belts and so far it’s all gone very well. No big disasters, awesome houses, great response. Here’s my thing. In every production there’s always one performance where something insane happens. You know what I mean. It’s not a bad thing, it’s just the law of averages – you repeat the same evening enough times, eventually something weird goes on.

So I want to know…how long before somebody falls down (Gabi)…or someone spills a water bottle on the electric piano (Jordan)…or an actor wets themself onstage (let’s be honest).

I don’t mean to jinx anything, I really don’t. The fact of the matter is, the Edges run has gone so unbelievably well. It can be unnerving. I can’t tell you how lucky I feel to be working on this material with these people.

Well, I don’t have to tell you. You already know. Because you’ve seen it, right? And told all your friends to see it?

And if you haven’t, just think how much better the odds are that you’ll be there the night that I slip on a puddle of my own sweat, send an untied running shoe flying and knock a spinning disco ball directly into your lap. Don’t miss your chance. Book your tickets for Edges. Somebody with a PVR can always tape The Amazing Race.
